No.  Racing is optional, however it is encouraged and the courses are very fun.  There will not be anything technical on the race courses. Any team member who regularly participates in practice will be prepared for any of the race courses. We spend a lot of time during practice covering one of the actual courses (Vail Lake) where 3/5 races take place.
